General Information

Youth Create is a vibrant non-governmental group comprising 30 members and backed by five association partners. With a yearly budget exceeding 20,000 dinars, it secures funding from the Culture Delegation of Sfax and through self-financing. The association passionately undertakes diverse cultural projects, arranges captivating artistic performances, and hosts informative seminars and cultural discussions.

Their approach hinges on collaboration, not just among their members and partners but also in engaging with local and regional government bodies, companies, and other NGOs. They plan their projects and activities, blending fresh ideas and teamwork to ensure their impact spans across the community. Youth Create stands as a catalyst for cultural enrichment, fostering a network of partnerships and a dedicated commitment to creative expression.

Mission and Objectives

Youth Create is dedicated to empowering and integrating youth into society. Our mission revolves around guiding and redirecting young individuals within the cultural sphere. We work tirelessly to foster a harmonious relationship between people and the government, emphasizing mutual respect and open, effective communication. Our core aim is to propagate the concept of active citizenship, encouraging and enabling young minds to participate meaningfully in their communities.

Our objectives span various fronts: from supporting youth integration into societal structures to offering guidance in cultural pursuits. We also focus on nurturing a healthy, respectful connection between citizens and governing bodies. By instilling the values of active citizenship, we strive to equip the next generation with the tools and mindset to engage constructively in shaping the world around them.

Main Projects / Activities

Youth Create engages in diverse activities aimed at nurturing and empowering youth.

We host enlightening cultural talks delving into pivotal youth-related topics. Collaborating with regional institutes in Gabes, we recently organized a screening of the impactful film "سبق الخير."
In partnership with the administration of the Municipal Theater in Sfax, we orchestrated the return of the renowned Tunisian musical duo, "Yuma," captivating audiences with their performance. Additionally, we orchestrated the debut performance of the acclaimed Arabic band, "طارق العربي طرقان و أبناؤه," marking a significant cultural milestone. As an official partner in the Sfax International Festival, we contributed our efforts and collaborated in various regulatory volunteering activities, furthering our commitment to cultural enrichment and youth engagement.

These diverse activities serve our core mission of empowering and integrating youth within our society.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

An association like Youth Create, dedicated to bolstering the cultural domain, serves as a crucial node in Tunisia's network. By facilitating cultural events, such as film screenings, musical performances, and insightful talks on pivotal youth-related topics, it becomes a catalyst for cultural enrichment and societal engagement.

In a network context, Youth Create acts as a connector, bringing together diverse stakeholders—regional institutes, governmental bodies, fellow NGOs, and the youth themselves. Their collaborative approach fosters partnerships and mutual initiatives, thus strengthening the ties between various segments of society. This collaboration isn't just limited to cultural domains but extends to areas of governance, communication, and community involvement.

By fostering a civil relationship between individuals and the government, grounded in mutual respect and effective communication, Youth Create contributes to a more cohesive and cooperative societal network in Tunisia. Their emphasis on active citizenship further fuels this, encouraging the youth to participate meaningfully in shaping their communities.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Joining a network like ALF (Anna Lindh Foundation) would significantly benefit an association like Youth Create aiming to expand its global reach and secure additional funding avenues. ALF offers a unique platform for cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration among civil societies in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

This paves the way for knowledge exchange, resource sharing, and joint initiatives that transcend geographical boundaries.

Furthermore, ALF serves as a hub for funding opportunities, offering grants, sponsorships, and other financial resources to support projects aligned with their mission. By becoming part of the ALF network, Youth Create gains access to a pool of potential funding sources, enabling them to diversify their financial support and sustain their initiatives.

Overall, joining ALF enables Youth Create to amplify its global presence, forge new partnerships, access diverse funding channels, and engage in collaborative endeavors, ultimately advancing its mission on an international scale.
