Rubbish Film Festival 2023-2024 – a call for participants

ALF Ireland members Createschool are running the Rubbish Film Festival which is an exciting digital arts education initiative that encourages creativity and environmental awareness among students. Createschool partners with 10 local authorities in Ireland and the Environmental Protection Agency so that participating students receive training and support in key Next Generation Skills and then create short films that highlight the global issue of waste and pollution and their impact on the planet.

Now in its seventh year, the Rubbish Film Festival is a unique opportunity for young people to showcase their creative talents, create awareness of environmental issues, and learn some new digital storytelling skills in the process. Currently a national project, there are plans to make the project international.

Here is the winning entry from last year - What Could've Been

Please note only schools from participating counties in Ireland can register for the festival
