MISSION
To support and strengthen the newly emerging civil society in Egypt and the Arab countries, while encouraging its diversity of character and unity of purpose, as part of a larger global civil society.

The Economic Research Forum (ERF) is an independent, nongovernmental, nonprofit networking institution dedicated to the mission of raising the capacity for and quality of policy-oriented economic research in the MENA region covering the Arab countries, Iran and Turkey.
Mission and Objectives

The organization’s aim is to foster economic growth with equity and the effective integration of the region into the world economy. ERF also functions as a resource base for economic research on the region.
The ERF community consists of regional and international economists, development practitioners, policymakers, members of the business community and research think tanks. Its core constituency is composed of Research Fellows, Research Associates and Senior Associates.

Main Projects / Activities

ERF’s core objective is the creation of a strong MENA research community to encourage the production of independent and high-quality economic research of ultimate relevance to public policy in the region. ERF achieves this objective by:
Developing and coordinating research projects and securing the necessary funding.
Disseminating the results of the research by a well-defined communications strategy.
Forging links and initiating collaboration with national, regional and international think tanks, research centers, statistical agencies, and development organizations.
Housing, and regularly updating, a regional data bank and documentation library, and facilitating access to international sources of information.
Acting as a regional hub for international (GDN) and regional (MDF) networks and establishing partnership with European institutes through FEMISE.

General Information
EMYA is registered under the number of 3359 on the date of 19-9-1985. EMYA is structured around a General assembly, board council, & members that reach 70 persons. In addition, it depends on 3 paid executives to run its earned, paperwork and media publicity. Among the main partners EMYA collaborate with are the “Great Cairo Library”, “Cairo Opera house”, pro helevtia Cairo”, Grabau Stifftung, Faculty of Music Education (FME, Helwan University, and “ Academy of Arts”. The annual budget ranges around 3000 - 4000 LE: the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity, members fees (20 LE per person), Arab International Bank, Arab African International Bank, and EDBE. EMYA’s contribution and activities depends on three main regular activities: concerts, cultural saloon & Lectures.
Mission and Objectives

EMYA’s mission is to educate, to compile and to direct the music Youth production within a social artistic frame through organizing music ensembles for them to perform or compose as a way of self expression; all to better serve their community.
Accordingly, its objectives are:
1- Encourage youth music ensembles performances
2- Facilitate Egyptian composers performances
3- Enhancing youth musically and aesthetically
4- Supporting main social occasions musically
5- Co-organizing youth exchange programs: local & international
6- Opening venues for music activities to the amateur youth

EYMA’s Concerts fall in three categories:
• Egyptian Composers’ Concerts series
• Performances Students’ series
• Foreigners’ Concerts series
Around four concerts are held each year in major venues , for example Cairo Opera House (Cairo & Alexandria), Rawabet Theatre, and local campuses of universities.
Cultural Saloons, one per month, invite diverse experts of music, drama and history for the general public as well as musicians. The saloons falls into three categories of “Contemporary Music: Western & Egyptian”, “Music & Science”, and “Egyptian Music”. They all take place in the “Great Cairo Library”. The lectures are s oriented to specialized professional musicians, which they mostly take place in local campuses of universities.
In an attempts to enlarge its impact on professional youth musicians ensembles, EYMA began to include coordinating Arab Youth Philharmonic Orchestra AYPO in its current round as one of the its main activities.

According to law No. 94 of 2003 and abiding by the Paris principles Egypt has established A National institution called "The National Council for Human Rights “, under the auspices of the Shoura Council, which was established to further the protection, set the values, raise the awareness, and ensure the observance of Human Rights. The Council consists of 25 board members, has a legal personality, its headquarters in Cairo, and has the authority to establish branches and offices in other Governorates. The council independently performs its duties in disseminating Human Rights and raising its awareness. The council has a sufficient numbers of competent employees in addition to experts and professionals, to perform its duties and functions
Mission and Objectives

1. Put a national plan to enhancement, to develop the protection of human rights in Egypt, and to suggest the means by which to achieve this plan.
2. To provide suggestions and recommendations to the specialized bodies in order to support, protect, and develop human rights.
3. Express opinions, views, suggestions, and recommendations for the issues introduced or referred to it by the authorities and specialized bodies for matters related to the strengthening and protection of human rights.
4. Receipt the complaints in the field of human rights, to study and raise them to the authorities and specialized bodies, and to follow up with them. Also to spread awareness to individuals of the legal procedures that should be followed and to assist them in the implementation of these procedures or their settlement with the associated bodies.
5. Follow up with the implementation of the international agreements and conventions related to human rights. Also to provide the associated bodies with the necessary suggestions, recommendations, and feedback for safety implementation.
6. Cooperate with international organizations and bodies interested in human rights which contribute to achieving the goals of the Council and developing its relations.
7. Participate with the Egyptian delegates in the forums, meetings of the regional and international organizations interested in human rights.
8. Contribute opinions in order to prepare reports that the state is obliged to provide periodically to the committees and organs of human rights implementation to the international agreements and response to their queries.
9. coordinate with the state institutions interested in human rights and to cooperate with them in this field; cooperation include working with the National Council for Women, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood and other groups.
10. Spread the human rights culture and concepts, making sure that the citizens are aware of them. To get assistance from the institutions and organs specialized in education, media, and culture.
11. Organize conferences, sessions, and round-table discussions on issues related to human rights.
12. Provide necessary suggestions to support technical and institutional capabilities in the field of human rights including technical preparation and trainings of employees in state institutions related to freedom and social, economic, and cultural rights in order to improve their efficiency.
13. Publish periodic reviews related to the Council's goals and missions.
14. Publish reports about the situations and developments of Egypt's efforts in the field of human rights on both a government and national level
