6. Short description of the Activity : The cities in the Mediterranean have been characterized by several trends which have caused changes within them. They have become more complex due to the increase in cultural, economic and demographic diversity, which has also resulted in their territorialisation and fragmentation. To this end, urban space has become a favourable public place for communication and exchange. In a more theoretical sense, it is the place where citizens, whoever they are, have the right to exercise their freedoms and rights, including their right to assemble, to meet and to express their opinions. is that the project is trying to address, especially to understand the cultural differences and to describe in a collective way the necessity of the intercultural dialogue in the integration within the city.
This interaction between people from all walks of life is the cornerstone of the intercultural approach; this is what gives Intercultural Cities their unique value.
To illuminate the importance of intercultural citizenship through the practice of citizenship, we will analyze through short videos of 8 intercultural cities, the diversity and the practice of intercultural citizenship.
