International youth activities center association (IYACA) is a NGO which was founded in 2012 in Kayseri, active in Ankara since 2018. We believe that adult education within lifelong learning is a key factor in economic, ecologic and social development, as well as being a human right. We as IYACA can be part of a reach exchange of practices and knowledge in the field of youth work, projects and policies. Considering our previous projects regarding human rights, non-discrimination, tolerance, against hate speech and so on we strongly believe in our capacity to develop opportunities for youth aim to promote mutual understanding, coexisntence and more openness and active involvement for innovation, sustainability and social development in Turkey. Together with the other partners in Turkey we can reach more young persons and maybe synchronize our efforts for the same cause.
As mentioned before, there are two main reasons that motivate us to appy for your network.
First, our aim is siminar to your network's objective to empower youth. Through our projects we work continously to increase youth opportunities to develop themselves considering the entire diversity in the world. As part of the network we can ensure a better environment for the Turkish civil society working with vulnerable groups.
Second, we can grow our capacity of developping partnerships with NGOs within the network you already qualified as active in the field we also work. This is a win-win strategy for both parties involved, being stronger together for our direct beneficiaries.

Our values underpin everything we do, from working with vulnerable communities to partnering with organisations, individuals, and other stakeholders. They are the framework through which we deliver our strategy, the signposts that guide us on our path, and the pillars on which we lean in the most challenging of times.
Humanitarianism
We believe in the essential dignity and respect of all human beings, and in serving, supporting and advocating on behalf of poor, marginalised people and those affected by conflict and crises.
Courage
We believe in standing with the vulnerable communities we serve, taking the necessary risks, appropriately assessed, in order to respond effectively to people’s needs.
Integrity
Our actions and relationships with our stakeholders are characterized by honesty and openness in all our dealings.
Respect
We value others. We listen to them and we believe in the power of partnership to effect change in people’s lives.
Inspiration
Move people to believe in better
Innovation
Make a difference, differently
Impact
Create change that matters
1- Emergency response:
Conflict, instability, poor governance and climate change have created an unprecedented level of humanitarian need.
Often spanning multiple geographies, crises are becoming increasingly complex and protected, with affected communities needing additional support for longer periods of time.
Saving lives and alleviating human suffering:
Iyilik Denizi's Emergency Response function focuses on saving lives and alleviating human suffering. This response often involves prioritizing needs such as food, water, shelter, cash, and other non-food items. It also sees Iyilik Denizi reduce morbidity and mortality through the delivery of targeted health responses, including emergency sanitation, hygiene promotion, disease surveillance, immunization campaigns, outbreak response, curative nutrition programs, and primary healthcare services.
Such initiatives may then transition to more sustained and long-term programming, where the focus shifts to the rehabilitation of health, water, sanitation, food, and other market systems.
2- Sustaining people’s Livelihoods
Many of the local populations in Iyilik Denizi's programs make their living from the informal economy, with high numbers of young people unable to access employment, education, and training. This leads to increased levels of
poverty and inequality and leaves communities vulnerable and exposed to shocks. Promoting market skills and financial inclusion
In the informal sector, livelihoods are typically secured through
self-employment, micro or small businesses, rather than through salaried jobs. Recognizing this, and focusing particularly on women and young people, Iyilik Denizi is working to support the development of sustainable and resilient livelihoods.
There is no better approach to solving challenges than the famous saying "two heads are better than one." Whether creating internal partnerships between colleagues or departments, to larger partnerships between our national and international networks, harnessing the strengths and abilities of others from different corners of our ecosystem is one of the most strategic ways for organizations to scale their innovation and solve complex challenges.
At Iyilik Denizi, we aim to work closely with our local, national and international partners to achieve our common goals and strengthen our capacities to benefit our communities around the world.

- Youth and education
Since our school is in the centre of the city, our students are composed of immigrants from the other regions of Turkey as well as local students. For this reason our school reflects mosaic of different cultures. Our school is a high school, which prepares students for university education during four years after the eight-year compulsory education. There are about 1600 students who are between 14 and 18 years old.
Our school has 2 Comenius projects .The first and finished one Religion-Culture-Tolerance occured at 2008-2010 project term;the second one URBANSCAPE belongs to 2011-2013 project term. We also have finished 2 welldone e-twinning projects: Let's Make Friends (10.11.2009), Natural Beauties of Europe (27.08.2010).
In Turkey especially educational institutions are aware of only National Agencies as a source of new projects. We can promote first of all the name and then the aims of ALF to our similar institutions.
We expect that we can observe an intensive mobility of the European communities equally within the country borders and on the whole continent. It causes a necessity of development specific sorts of dispositions in our students and also in youth workers: respect for difference, openness and tolerance. An effective work on this values equally at homes and school is a guarantee of a successful intercultural dialogue. And we know that The Anna Lindh Foundation’s Calls for Proposals are one of the instruments to support the development of transnational civil society projects and to mobilise the National Networks.
