A Sea of Words 2023: the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Literary Contest

The 16th edition of A Sea of Words youths literary contest is here!

Calling Euro-Mediterranean youths to write a story about this year’s theme: “Artificial Intelligence and Youths: Ethical Commitment and Critical Thinking.”

Are you between 18 and 30 years old and living in one of the 43 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean area? Feel free to write using fiction or real experiences about the impact of artificial intelligence on Mediterranean societies.

The authors of the 10 best stories will be invited to Barcelona on the 8th of November 2023 to participate for three days in the awards ceremony, creative workshop activities, and cultural exchanges.

A Sea of Words is a contest created in 2008 by the European Institute of the Mediterranean IEMed in collaboration with the Anna Lindh Foundation. The goal of this initiative is to bring together the voices of young people on subjects of interest that concern and affect them in the context of Euro-Mediterranean dialogue.
