Abstract

The publication "My story about the goals for young people" is primarily intended for young people, but also for youth associations and for young people, as well as for all interested persons, state institutions and bodies, and educational institutions who want and can learn more about the European goals for young people. However, this publication will also offer key information about the role and significance of the European Union's Dialogue with Youth and show one of the creative ways of involving young people in that process. The intention of the publication is to open a space for young people to show from their own perspective the importance of youth involvement and how goals for young people affect their lives.
We believe that such experiences are worth reading for everyone who works with young people in order to raise awareness of the importance of empowering young people to be active in their own community.

Exactly on the trail of the last one, the Croatian Youth Network (hereinafter: the Network), as the holder and implementer of the European Union Dialogue with Youth in Croatia, organized and conducted a creative short story writing competition under the theme "My story about goals for young people". Through the creative competition, additional focus was placed on promoting goals for young people with an emphasis on the goals of the IX. Cycle - goal number 3. Inclusive societies and goal number 10. Sustainable green Europe. The network decided on a creative competition to encourage the participation of young people in expressing their own opinions, feelings and experiences, while simultaneously learning and disseminating information about the goals for young people.
