General Information
The web site www.mediterranean.nu is administered by one person in Sweden/Goteborg but consists of a steadily growing society where well-known (and new) poets/authors from all over the world contribute with their impressions of the Mediterranean world. The budget of this project is minimal – its efforts consists mainly of voluntarily work – but many poets/authors contribute and many visitors of the site are given a place to ponder about where human race have “travelled” from ancient times to this very day!
Mission and Objectives

Anyone who has been travelling to the Mediterranean and the countries bordering the famous Sea has most certainly been in “danger” of falling in love with the people, culture, art, film, food, music, atmosphere and not the least – the literature who tries to describe the feelings the wind and sea evokes!
The idea with this web site is to be able to share the fascination of this world with others and let it be a forum where poets/authors that live (have lived/travelled) around these waters may present their impression of the Mediterranean world.

Main Projects / Activities

Our main goal is to let the web site www.mediterranean.nu be a forum where poets/authors that live (have lived/travelled) around these waters may present their impression of the Mediterranean world.
Some poets have though suggested the idea that one should publish an annual book where some of the texts/poems that depict the Mediterranean world should be printed. I have suggested that if I could get the means – from some foundation – to go ahead with such a project – it should be a book sold/given by that foundation where all involved (including the owner of this site) would do this without any compensation!

General Information

IM is an independent, member based development organisation fighting and exposing poverty and exclusion. The organisation was founded in 1938.

We work globally in collaboration with local partners to enable people to lift themselves out of poverty and exclusion through their own efforts.

We strive for a sustainable world, based on international human rights standards, and we reject all forms of discrimination.

IM also works in Sweden, focusing on integration and inclusion into society. The strengthening of civil society is both a means and an objective in all activities.

Mission and Objectives

OUR VISION = A just and compassionate world

OUR MISSION = Fighting poverty and exclusion

Main Projects / Activities

What we do - IM (imsweden.org)

IM is a development organisation that fights for a humane world free from poverty and exclusion. Together with partners, we work for equal and democratic societies where everyone can enjoy their rights and where no one is left behind.

We are convinced that people can create change on their own if they have the right conditions. Our work takes place at all levels in society to create socially, economically and climate-sustainable solutions. The work also aims to meet several of the Global Goals for sustainable development.

Development cooperation

At the global level, IM works with long-term development cooperation with the aim of combating poverty and exclusion. This is done, among other things, by strengthening people both economically and socially, but also by working for strong civil societies where people can make their voices heard.

Integration

In Sweden, IM works for human rights with a special focus on integration. Our goal is for people who are new to Sweden to be able to be included in society, both socially and economically and without being met by racism or discrimination. We also work for a more friendly social climate based on understanding and respect.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We would like to broaden our network with local, national och international actors working with similar issues that we do in Gothenburg; integration, participation (local democracy) and human rights in order to exchange experience and knowledge. Depending on the outcome of our membership (as IM Lokalföreningen Göteborg), Individuell Människohjälp (national organisation) will consider a full membership.

Since 2013 we applied many Erasmus + projects and huge part of budget is coming from this fund.We have organized or participated in more than 20 Erasmus KA 1 and currently 12 Erasmus + KA2 projects we are working on. Our NGO has realy strong connections with Orkelljunga Municipality and Schools in Orkelljunga. We cooperate on local and international way.We have been working with organizations such as Save the Children, Red Cross, Other  Municipalities in order to enlarge our network and experiences. There are 25 active volunteers, 6 staff and 15 weekly activities to work with integration in south of Sweden.
Mission and Objectives

The organization fulfils the main objective through
• giving help to self-help so that the individual’s understanding of her/his own culture and self-esteem amplifies.
• providing multi-cultural meeting places where the exchange of experiences, values and cultures promote individual’s life quality
• building social network between different cultures
• encouraging the individual to take responsibility in society
• developing and practicing effective and creative approaches/methods for integration, both formal and non-formal.
• spreading information in order to increase awareness of the meaning of culture and different cultures.

Main Projects / Activities

IFALL works with integration in different levels. Our target group is young and adult with fewer opportunities such as refugees, asylum seekers, immigrants, elderly people etc.. They often face a lot of barriers in terms of accessing education, employment and future trainings. Sometimes these people need supporting and advice about what they want to achieve and then what is feasible considering their social status within the country therefore we offer non-formal learning methods to improve their competences in areas such as film making, sport, music and creative drama so their horizons are opened in different careers and integration into society is achieved.
a) Ground Level; We have several activity groups such as language cafes, homework support, film evenings, sport days, IFALL football team, women and girls group, and international evenings. These activities are weekly or monthly and our volunteers are planning and organizing. Target group often is immigrant background people/refugees and local Swedish people.
b) Intellectual Level; We are applying for adult education and youth projects in local and international levels. Erasmus + and Nordplus are main funds that we are working with. In this level youth and adult volunteers became more experienced with projects especially about sharing best practices between project partners. This is a kind of platform for our volunteers that they can prepare activities for ground level.
c)Informative Level; We prepare seminars, conferences, panels and handbooks for local people, social worker, teacher, volunteers who can follow new information about integration and cultures.
Nonformal education and methods are applied for these levels of activity. Creative Drama and Film making are some of methods which IFALL uses in trainings.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

As a small and new organization IFALL we want to reach much more people to develop our envoiremental network for having better Skane, better Sweden, better Europe and better World in lights of our vision and mission.
Experiences gained through international project we are ready to share it and also looking forward to learn from other perspectives.Especially in Skane we are willing to have some meetings to schedule followint meet-ups,seminars and exchanges between other ngos or organizations such as :
-Promoting Erasmus +
-Sharing best practies
-Creative Drama methods
-Non violent communication
-And dissemination of on going local and international projects.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

As we mentioned above to execute this part we need more people.Especially in small cities like Orkelljunga sometimes  its realy hard to find people to send abroad (for projects we got from Erasmus +). Therefore to find more people especially youngs ALF network can help us to build trustworthy relations between organizations.
Instead of organizations we dont know before we prefer to build a strong connections with organizations we ll work in the future.ALF network is already showed its sustainability and realy promising for following years. It ll be our pleasure to take part such a multicultural network where our objectives are matching.

General Information

Mission and Objectives

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We could contribute to seminars/workshops/learning activities.
